Privacy
This site is deliberately data-minimal. It sets no cookies and builds no visitor profiles; visits are counted only as cookieless, anonymous aggregate statistics (see below). Fonts are self-hosted. That is why there is no cookie banner. Personal data is processed only when you write to us through the contact form. The binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung.

Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted as a static website by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). On each request the host processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) to deliver the page and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). Delivery runs over European edge locations; as Vercel is a US provider, processing in the USA cannot be ruled out, safeguarded by the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Web analytics (Fathom)
We use Fathom Analytics (Fathom Analytics Inc., Canada) to understand how many people visit which pages. Fathom is built for privacy: it sets no cookies, uses no cross-site identifiers, builds no visitor profiles, and stores only anonymous, aggregated statistics (page views, referrer domain, browser type, country). IP addresses are not stored. Traffic from the EU is processed on EU-hosted infrastructure (Fathom's EU isolation). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding aggregate usage of a free publication); since no personal data is retained and no consent-requiring technology is used, no cookie banner is required. Details: Fathom's privacy policy.
